The shape of it

What does Trade Access Partners actually do?

Trade Access Partners runs the physical and commercial groundwork a machinery manufacturer needs in the UK: we give you a British address and a phone answered in your name, receive and store your machines, assemble and inspect them to a documented standard, deliver them nationwide, keep parts moving and warranty claims settled, represent your brand to dealers and buyers, and market it properly, all from one base in England.

The service exists because nothing else quite does. Consultancies advise but do not operate. Logistics firms move and store but do not sell or represent. Distributors will sell, but they take a distributor margin and own the customer relationship while they do it. No UK business combines receiving, warehousing, assembly and PDI, distribution and representation for machinery manufacturers as one service. That gap is Trade Access Partners, built on 30+ years working with international machinery brands. Take every service or start with the one you need this quarter: the scope is yours to set, and to change. How an engagement runs, step by step, is on our how-it-works page.

Your UK front desk

A UK address and a phone answered in your name

A British dealer sizes up an unfamiliar machinery brand in about a minute, and most of that minute goes on three questions: where are you, who answers the phone, and how long will a reply take? An overseas address, a foreign dialling code and a working day that ends before Britain wakes up answer all three badly, however good the machine is.

So your UK operation gets a front desk. Correspondence comes to our base and is opened, scanned and actioned the day it lands. Parcels and samples are signed for. Your phone is answered in your company name by UK staff who walked past your machines that morning, and every enquiry is logged, qualified and sent on to whoever you want it to reach, whether that is your export desk, one of your dealers or our own representation team. When you fly in there is a meeting room with video conferencing ready, so a dealer meeting or a call back to your factory happens on your UK premises rather than in a hotel lobby.

The same desk handles the registrations a foreign business trips over first. We help assemble and submit the applications a UK trading position needs, including VAT, HMRC registrations and a GB EORI number, and we keep the correspondence moving when a query comes back. What we do not do is choose your structure for you: that judgement stays with you and your advisers, and our first-shipment checklist sets out what each registration is actually for.

What's included

  • A UK trading address at our base
  • Post, parcels and email received, sorted and actioned
  • Your phone answered in your company name by UK staff
  • Enquiries logged, qualified and routed to the right person
  • Meeting and hospitality space with video conferencing
  • VAT, HMRC and EORI applications assembled and submitted with you

Goods in

Receiving, unloading and machinery warehousing

A shipment is never a surprise here. We book the arrival slot, our own warehouse team unloads the container or low loader, and every machine is checked against the packing list and photographed before it goes anywhere near the racking. Transit damage gets raised with you the day we find it, not discovered later at a demonstration. From that moment your machines sit in secure storage, owned by you, recorded machine by machine, ready for the workshop. And storage is not a car park: machines waiting for launch get looked over, batteries and tyres get attention, and anything that must move is moved by people who handle machinery daily. The buildings are alarmed, fire-managed and fully insured, and you get remote access to the CCTV, so at two in the morning in your own time zone the answer to "can I see my machines?" is simply yes.

What's included

  • Booked arrival slots for containers and low loaders
  • Unloading by our own warehouse team
  • A photographed condition report for every arrival
  • Transit damage flagged to you straight away
  • Secure storage under your ownership
  • Stock records shared with you, machine by machine
  • Alarmed, fire-managed and fully insured buildings
  • Remote CCTV access, around the clock, from wherever you are

In the workshop

Assembly and PDI: what is the difference?

Assembly is the build work: fitting the wheels, weights, attachments and guards that shipped loose so the machine matches its specification. Pre-delivery inspection, PDI, is the documented check that follows: fluids, torque settings, electrics, function tests and safety decals, signed off before a machine goes anywhere near a customer.

Both happen in our own workshop, done by fitters who build and check machinery every working day, to the specification you set. Every machine leaves with a signed PDI record and photographs on file, so when a dealer rings about a serial number we can say who checked it and when. Where you want it, we add CESAR marking, the voluntary security-marking and registration scheme for agricultural and construction equipment, recognised by police and insurers (CESAR scheme, accessed August 2026). The workshop is new, and there is training space beside it: bring your engineers over to take our fitters through a new model, or send your dealers to us and we will run the session here, next to the machine rather than around a slide deck.

What's included

  • Assembly to your factory specification
  • Documented pre-delivery inspection with photographs
  • Function and safety checks signed off before handover
  • CESAR security marking on request
  • Faults reported back to your engineers with evidence
  • Machines held launch-ready for delivery or demonstration
  • New workshop with training space for your engineers and dealers

Goods out

Logistics and nationwide distribution

Machinery is awkward freight, and pretending otherwise is how mirrors get smashed and warranties start on the wrong foot. We match each machine to the right trailer, book and manage the movement with hauliers we use week in, week out, and deliver to dealer yards, hire depots, farms and sites nationwide. Handover paperwork is done properly and proof of delivery comes back to you, so you see what your customer sees: the date promised, the date met, and the paper that proves it. Demonstration machines go out to events and come back without drama.

What's included

  • Movements planned, booked and managed by us
  • The right trailer for each machine
  • Delivery to dealer yards, hire depots, farms and sites
  • Handover checks and proof of delivery, returned to you
  • Demonstration machines moved to and from events
Moving machinery is the easy part. Making it sell is the job.

After the sale

Parts, warranty and engineers on site

Selling the first machine in Britain is a sales job. Selling the second one is an after-sales job, because the dealer who watched how you handled the first fault decides whether there is a second. A filter that takes three weeks to come from the factory costs more goodwill than any discount buys back.

Parts live in the same building as the machines, at levels you agree, picked and dispatched to dealers and end users as orders come in, with fast movers flagged before they run dry. Warranty is processed and managed here rather than posted abroad: claims registered, evidenced with photographs, rectified by the fitters who inspected the machine in the first place, and settled with your engineers on a paper trail you can audit. And when a machine needs somebody standing next to it, our engineers go to site anywhere in the country for commissioning, fault-finding, operator handovers and the statutory examinations UK law expects of equipment once it is working for a living.

What's included

  • Parts stored, picked and dispatched from the same site as your machines
  • Stock levels agreed with you, fast movers flagged before they run out
  • Warranty claims registered, evidenced and managed through to settlement
  • Rectification by the fitters who built and inspected the machine
  • Site engineering nationwide for commissioning and fault-finding
  • Statutory inspection and testing arranged so machines stay legal in service
  • Failure patterns reported back to your engineers, not quietly filed

Your name, our legwork

UK sales representation and dealer support

Representation means your brand has a team and a face in Britain: someone who knows the range, visits the dealers, runs the demonstrations and follows every quote until it becomes an order or an honest no. You set the prices and sign the agreements. We do the legwork and report the pipeline in writing. In the sectors we serve, brands rise or stall on the strength of their dealer and customer relationships, and those are built in person, visit after visit, not by email from another country. Reporting is regular, written and honest, including the enquiries that went quiet, because a pipeline you cannot trust is worse than no pipeline at all.

What's included

  • Dealer recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support
  • Demonstrations and open days, run for you
  • Lead generation, qualification and routing to the right dealer
  • Quotes chased and pipeline reported in writing
  • After-sales and warranty liaison with your factory
  • Market feedback that reaches your drawing board

Being seen

Marketing and trade-show support

Machinery marketing goes wrong when it is made by people who have never stood next to the machine. Our in-house studio photographs and films equipment properly, writes spec sheets dealers actually use, and builds launch campaigns around the shows that matter: LAMMA at the NEC every January for agricultural machinery, IMHX, next at the NEC in September 2027, for material handling. We book the stand, build the graphics, staff it and chase the follow-up afterwards, and our exhibition calendar lists every show worth considering between now and the end of 2027. Between shows, the studio keeps your name moving: product pages, dealer campaigns and social content with your real machines in them, not generic library shots. It also covers the UK-facing website work and search visibility that decides whether a buyer finds you at all, and the print a machinery buyer still expects in the hand, from brochures and spec sheets to trade-press advertising.

What's included

  • Equipment photography and walkaround video
  • Launch campaigns, product pages and spec sheets
  • Dealer marketing packs
  • Shows recommended, booked, built, staffed and followed up
  • UK website work and search visibility, on and offline campaigns
  • Print and trade press: brochures, spec sheets, advertising
  • Made in-house by people who know machinery

The edges

What we don't do

Every promise is worth more when the limits are stated up front.

We don't buy your stock

Trade Access Partners is not a distributor. We take no margin on your machines, we hold stock that stays yours, and your customer list never becomes our asset to sell back to you. If a distribution partnership genuinely suits you better, we will say so and point you at the options.

We don't advise and vanish

Consultancies hand over a report and wish you luck. Our assessment exists to start an operation, not to be the product. When we recommend a route, we are offering to run it.

We don't just move boxes

Logistics firms move and store machinery, then stop. Necessary, never sufficient. The value sits in what happens around the freight: build, inspection, representation and after-sales.

We don't play lawyer or accountant

We do the legwork on registrations, assembling and submitting VAT, HMRC and EORI applications with you, and we give factual guidance with sources you can check. The structuring decisions behind them stay with you and your qualified advisers, and we work alongside them rather than pretending to replace them.

Quick answers

Four questions worth settling early

Can we start with just one service?

Yes. Some manufacturers take machinery warehousing, assembly and PDI only and keep the selling in house. Others want the full operating base from day one. The usual engagement shapes are on our how-it-works page, and starting small never locks you into the rest.

Can you help us register for UK VAT?

We can do the legwork. We help assemble and submit UK VAT, HMRC and GB EORI applications and keep the correspondence moving when queries come back, so the paperwork is not what delays your first container. How your UK trade is structured is a regulated judgement and stays with you and your accountant. What each registration is for, and when you need it, is set out in our first-shipment checklist.

Where do you operate from?

One base in England: warehouse, workshop and team on a single site, with delivery and dealer support nationwide. Manufacturers are welcome to visit before committing to anything, and we encourage it. There is more about the place and the people on our about page.

Which machinery sectors do you cover?

Three home sectors, each with its own page: agricultural machinery, construction equipment and material handling. Other industrial machinery is judged case by case: if it ships in a container and sells through dealers, we probably know the shape of the problem.
