Why it matters here
The UK machinery trade still meets in person
In most industries the trade show is a relic. In machinery it is still where the year turns. A British dealer wants to climb on the machine, put a hand on the weld, ask who fixes it when it breaks, and look at the person answering. Two days at the right show does more for an unknown brand than six months of email, which is why the established names keep spending on stands they could easily cut.
For a manufacturer entering Britain, the show is also a deadline that organises everything else. Machines have to be in the country, assembled, inspected and looking right by a fixed date, with literature printed and someone able to answer in English about lead times and parts. Brands that plan backwards from a show date tend to arrive properly. Brands that plan around a vague quarter tend to arrive late.
The trap is exhibiting badly. An unmanned stand, a machine still in transit film, a hurried banner and a stack of brochures nobody takes reads worse to the trade than not being there at all. The cost of the space is rarely the problem. The cost of turning up unprepared is.
What we do
Your stand, run end to end
From choosing the show to chasing the enquiries three weeks after it closes.
We start by arguing about which shows you should actually attend, because the biggest is not always the right one and two well chosen stands usually beat five thin ones. Then we book the space, handle the organiser paperwork and health and safety documentation, and design the stand with Trade Access Studio, who produce the graphics, the spec sheets and the video in house rather than briefing an agency that has never stood next to a machine.
Your machines are already here. They come out of our warehouse, through the workshop for assembly and pre-delivery inspection, get cleaned and prepared for display, and go to the hall on our transport. On the day the stand is staffed by people who have handled your equipment and can talk about it properly, in your name, with your prices and your literature. Nothing has to be shipped in and out of the country for a two day show.
Afterwards you get what the show actually produced: every enquiry captured and qualified, the serious ones followed up while the memory is fresh, and a written account of who came, what they asked and what it is worth. That last part is the bit most stands never do, and it is the reason most stands look like they did not work.

Can you exhibit on our behalf if nobody from our factory can travel?
Yes, and it is one of the more common reasons manufacturers call us. We book the space, design and build the stand, prepare and transport the machines, staff the stand with people who know your equipment, and send you the enquiries and a written report afterwards. Plenty of brands do their first UK show without a single person flying in.
Which show should a new machinery brand start with?
It depends entirely on who buys your machines. For farm machinery, LAMMA in January is the obvious opening move because the whole dealer trade walks through it. For construction equipment it is usually PlantWorx or the hire trade at the Executive Hire Show. For material handling it is IMHX or IntraLogisteX. Your assessment names the right one for your range rather than the biggest one on the list.
How far ahead do we need to book?
Space at the major shows is usually being sold twelve to eighteen months out, and the good stand positions go first. Machines need to be in the country, assembled and inspected well before the doors open, so the practical deadline is earlier than the organiser's deadline. If a show is six months away, it is still worth asking.
Can you store and prepare the machines that go on the stand?
That is the advantage of the stand being run by the people who hold your stock. Machines are assembled and inspected in our workshop, cleaned and prepared for display, delivered to the hall, set up, then collected afterwards and returned to storage or straight out to a customer. Nothing has to be shipped in and out of the country for a show.
